Fairchildes Children's Centre, in Fairchildes Avenue next to Fairchildes Primary and Infants school, provides local parents with children under five with a range of services and support.

Parents of young babies can benefit from breast feeding advice and baby massage and the centre has a health visitor community clinic. Twice a week there are family ‘stay and play' sessions together with singing and story time for toddlers and babies.

Every Friday the centre holds family learning sessions and parents can also benefit from support and advice from Job Centre Plus. An outreach service is provided to support families in need.

For more information about the centre, contact Fairchildes family service co-ordinator, Cheryle Sutherland on 01689 847136.

The Addington Conservation Team

The Addington Conservation Team are a group of local volunteers dedicated to the protection and management of the chain of woods along the north eastern border of New Addington, Croydon.

These are ancient woodlands, one of the most diverse and irreplaceable of all wildlife habitats, and one of the most enjoyable for us to experience.

We meet for Worship every Sunday at 10.30 in the ACA. We have a lively interactive worship style which all are welcome to join in (or just sit quietly and observe). Our leaders are Emma and Matt Spencer. This service concludes with a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of Rose's cake!

On Sunday Evenings we have launched SingCR0nise a gospel choir for all - this meets at 7pm

We have the DEEPER studying group on 2nd and 4th Thursdays each month at 7.30pm (this begins with a cup of tea or coffee).

We run a meeting on Thursday at 1pm (again this begins with a cup of tea or coffee)

We have a mum's breakfast on a Wednesday at 9.30am

All events take place in our hall, on the Addington Vale Green
